With flowers that are a darker colour, I love shooting on overcast days. I find that the colours come out deeper and the details are not lost in the exposure, which is showcased here. I like the depth of field chosen and the little bits of yellow add a lot to the photograph. Very well done.

Hi Gabino-- thanks for looking at and commenting on my photo.
I took the pic on in the late morning. It was moving between a heavily overcast to brightly overcast day.
I had the 105mm micro lens on the camera, and was alternating between shooting flowers and shooting some deer. Handheld, so the ISO was around 640, I think. I did some post processing tweaking with the contrast afterwards, which I usually have to do with the D70.

I love the way you applied the rule of thirds. Also with the exposure you used, it would seem to me it was pretty bright. Not too bright not too dark. Yet the lighting seems perfect! What ISO did you use? And what time of day was it? Sunlight? Overcast?

Very pretty. The colours are gentle yet vibrant. The details are wonderful. I like how the blossoms seem to be staring right at the viewer. Lovley presentation. MAry
