About As the clouds from a passing storm parted light spilled between sheets of cloud and tracked beams of sunlight over the downy green "sisters" of Glencoe. Taking the shot before the rays of light hit me was essential to prevent uncontrollable lens flare. Exposure spotmetered from the sunlit patch of greenery.

Hope you like it. I love the edge boundaries of changing light.

Like it, I love it! The colors and the different shades of green. The ray of light is spectacular and draws you in but as well the various slopes and carry you back into the picture, and if you don't follow back into the picture by the slopes the water trail takes you there....

Wonderful!!!

I always thought that Glencoe looked the most forbidding of the glens... but that could be because of its grim history. This is a marvellous capture, a great reward for lugging all that heavy equipment around!

Fantastic shot Ian. The song "Danny Boy" comes to mind.

A truely spectacular image. In addition to the stunning effect of the light, the composition here is first rate. Arrangement of the beams angling from center to left and positioned above the rockpile creates a very well-balanced sense of the dynamic and the static. A termendouse job of exposure here to preserve the shadow contours and textures of the landscape as well. A perfect 7!
