Thanks Gayle, yeah, I tried some different crops too and they didn't work, so I went with this. Should have framed it wider, but sometimes alas...a candid must be a candid. And I liked the pic so had to go with the flat head! )
Didn't notice the yellow, I will certainly fix that before printing!

hi, i like this simple hoodie portrait,but not sure about the cut at top of head...tried to re-crop to show an alternative,but wasn't thrilled with them,so figure framing shot to include top would have been best perhaps...other than that,there are 2 yellow areas top left and right that didn't fill in as white but with a simple hit of paint bucket or whatever PS tool you use,it does a nice job....i like his expression and the exposure on his face

Fantastic shot my friend. I love the framing around his face by the hood and the shadows the hood caused. The contrast created by the "High Key, Low Key" is awesome indeed.

Thanks for the nice comment. I used an action called color wash on this one and then bumped up the contrast a little. I really like the action for colors like this red that was VERY bright. Take care!

I really like this one, Susie. I like how you have removed the distractions of a background and given us a minimal frame that also uses white. This makes the red so much stronger. Of course, it does seem to leach a little of the colour from his cheeks, but it's a splendid portrait. I have also enjoyed your cafe kids, young and old, although I know I haven't commented on them...
