Yes Nick, it is an RGB with separate channels. The stark colour contrast is the reason, I suppose, of the preferences in visitors and comments for this picture if compared with the next blue iris that I much prefere.

This is my favority in the disciplines of color and vibrating life! The amount of details is terrific, especially on the yellow, the red and the blue parts of the flower.
Excellent color definition, Giuseppe! And, oh, you have all basic colors here, as I see. Wonderful!

Thanks Steve. I much appreciate your comment. I made another tour in your very big house and saw a lot of excellent pictures of many different categories. But almost no flowers, only an anti-tulip. That it's why I have to appreciate even more your attention to this photo.
