Johnny this is STUNNING!! You have a great portfolio going with a clear style that is uniquely your own. The double award caught my eye and I see why you got it for this one. You capture a GREAT natural expression with spot-on lighting and the darkened BG . . . Just great work. The little nose seems to block any hope of seeing that other eye by just a tad . . . I think I might consider a slightly (and I mean EVER so slightly) different angle to get that eye in a bit more . . . perhaps even a slight turn of his head . . . but that's just me. Amzing creative work and an outstanding result. I'm impressed.

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Hi John, if two awards were ever justified, it's in this photo. The amazed, wondering look of your son, as well as the lighting is top notch, outstanding shot!

One small thing I believe might improve this shot: I think if you could show more of your kids' left eye, perhaps by using a 3/4th appraoch, the impact of this shot would really be sky high. A minor thing, though.

Great photo!

Cheers,

Hugo

Wow! Amazing portrait! Love the composition as a whole, but what really stands out is the great lighting and the innocent expression of the child. Nice capture!

Staggering! Make space on the wall! A rare and PERFECT portrait, you get maybe 10 of these in a lifetime. My highest compliments John.

really a good capture with great lighting, the expression and the look on the light of this boy is very expressive, The use of the dark background concentrates focus on the subject itself.. well done and congrats for the awards..

the colours are splendid! the lighting brings out the vibrant red and every curve of the material. the boys look is wonderous. its almost spiritual. the only thing i find distracting is the hair that is illuminated on his head. i would recomend the matieral pulled more over his head to prevent this. wonderful none the less
