This is for all those that thought my photo of the float of President Bush was NOT a photo.(If you looked closely you would have seen people) Likewise the Pope here, and hundred of other eminent political people, there is a carneval in Italy(Viareggio) that goes on every year and is based on satyre and humour, and nobody DREAMS of huffing if our Berlusconi or Pope or whoever else is being used for a bit of hilarity. Why are so many of you guys so defensive about your president? anyway IT WAS A PHOTO, and it has been taken off the site on the grounds that it was not. So much for freedom eh??? I am sure e President Bush would find that a bit much..

I think GJ needs to lighten up a bit. Unfortunately, some people can't separate their political sensitivities from their critical eye about contributions to the site. Assuming that President Bush and PM Blair can be held to their word, we are supposedly engaging in this war precisely so that people can express their views freely. Sadly, in times like these, people forget that fact pretty quickly. Good photo by the way. :)
This is not the Pope,,it is a FLOAT,,,,and nothing humorous about this one either. You not only think the President of the US is funny, but also a religuious leader. Nice. Ciao enrica, il carnevale e' un'espressine popolare che sinceramente non mi ha mai attirato, anzi mi ha sempre messo tristezza, trovo questa immagine rappresentativa dello stato d'animo che il canevale mi trasmette, il carro con questo grande papa e i figuranti sotto tutti con il cappello, due mondi cosi' distanti, uno sopra all'altro, proprio come nella realta'. Non so se ho reso l'idea... ciao ventrix
