About Thought I'd go a little more colorful and straight forward...for a change..!

Shot taken from Biggin Hill, Kent, UK of an old Hurricane (oops I stand corrected - Spitfire) from WWII.

Cheers

I love the colors here. Blues and yellows are always complimentary. The black and red really set it off. Your thick, bold black frame is also very complimentary to the subject matter. Congrats on being POD. A very well deserved award :)

ciao manu
beautiful shot
I took some pictures of an hurricane and a spitfire landed in genova last summer, but I did not reach this level, you can see them in my portfolio
when you shot this, the sun was probably close to the orizon, I like the light and I like the sky you also framed
very nice shot
ciao

Hi Manu,

Excellent shot, the higher (than usual, still nothing too extreme...:)) saturation really makes this spitfire rock. Excellent presentation and composition too. Great shot.

Cheers,

Hugo

I used to dream of flying Spitfires, but had to make do with Tiger Moths and the occasional Ansen. Later on, there came a Paraplane (ultralight). I think it was a plane photo of yours that first attracted me to your portfolio, Manu. This is another good one!

Nice picture Manu, I especially like what you allowed us to see and what you cropped out. By-the-by, the quickest way to tell the two aeroplanes aparts is their different canopies. The Supermarine Spitfire has a one-piece "bubble" canopy, while the Hawker-Siddley Hurricane has a flat canopy with many vertical and laterial steel framework overtop.

great colors and contrast between plane and air. The tight crop leaves us looking at those colors and makes it a great photo. The large black frame does a lot for this photo as well, well choosen. Regards, Martijn

Really like the contrasting colors of the national insignia and the blue sky. Glad the cockpit came out so clearly. Have soft spot for Spits as my brother flew one in RCAF during WWII. Didn't return from Malta. Anson
