A nice little stroll along the wall.Good classic pic but I see what you mean about the oversharpening if that is what is causing the white halo. Kev check the sensor again. I can see 2 black spots towards the left hand side but i'm not sure whether or not this is todays sky.You will get rid of any spots quite easily when you get CS2 on.

I remember this place on the Robin Hood film, you see Kevin Costner at the white cliffs of Dover then the next shot he goes over a hill and ends up here and he never complained to Danny

6 miles? I hope that was a drive and not walking?!?
Nice composition, the bowl shape of the hillside perfectly framing the tree. The clouds work to soften the background, and the sepai toning fits as well.
Only nit is it appears very over-sharpened.
