About Driving around San Francisco in the rain on Easter Sunday looking for something to shoot, I looked up at the intersection of 5th and Market. Quickly pulled over, grabbed the camera and the tripod, and ran for cover from the rain. The entire time I was shooting these shots, I could hear my car stereo playing Philip Glass' "Glassworks", because I left the car doors open in haste. Perfect music, and the right time.

The rain water, and overcast day added an amazing glow and sheen to the newer buildings on Market.

The lens is at 130mm. Slight contrast and curves in PS, as well as the crop. Very tiny unsharp mask to pop the edges.

In love with the exposure range with this lens.

Yes, it was a bit like that! LOL

Mate, I will write some more later - we are just leaving to go out for dinner. I will tell you something about the Lion image.

Dont you just love when that happens!!! I bet you just sat and looked at that Lion full screen on your monitor for about 10 minutes with your hands over your mouth before you move a muscle.

Would have done the same thing...and then call my wife to see.. the usual ;)

cheers mate!

Oh, golly gosh, Joel, thank you!!! I gather you like it!

I must say, I am pretty happy with it.

It is one of those images that you feel is not good when you shoot it and then, when you download it onto the computer, you think, wow! that is better than I thought it would look!

Then, with a few adjustments, it turns out even better!

Cheers

Thank you Petal!!

YOU noticed the spec! (or at maybe you're the first one to comment on it) :)

after I lined up the crop for the millionth time.. I settled, and stepped back from the monitor to look at the image against black....

.....fatal mistake!

In the end... I kinda like the black spot!

thanks again for the very kind comments! :)
