Want to have a go with a lensbaby would of been great with this image
All done at the postprocessing end of things.
The sharp imge looks good too but takes the attention away from the paper and I wanted the shot to be about the news

This is really clever Keith... love how you have blurred the image & brought the paper out with such clarity... Also love the position of this photo... with the airmans boot so prominent in the lower half.. think this would look wonderful without the blur too.

Hi Keith, Now here's an exemplary type of vintage photo, very well done. The "Breaking news", tone, blur, yellow border and the other details recreate the image of about 60 years ago very well.. Did you use a lensbaby to create the blur Or was it achieve druing postprocessing?

So many perfect things with this photo... Great POV and tones. I love the angle that you chose for the shot and the DOF is right on. My only critique (since this is a cc photo) would maybe be the frame. The color is nice and compliments the photo, but I think that I might like it better if it weren't so thick. I just think that it draws the eye away from the excellent photo that you took.
