Many thanks, Doyle. How? By panning along the horizon as hard as I could. Sniggers from the hardy souls also out on the beach, along the lines of, "his pictures are going to be all blurred..."
I actually prefer this to the previous one, but think both would benefit from a little blue fishing boat out there on the water. They do pass by from time to time, but how would I stop that from being blurred also? I feel a little digital manipulation coming on...

Soft and subtle. The scene is certainly recognizable, yet the whole effect is of a deliberate and controlled abstract.

Hi John, more drive by shooting! Like this. A lot.
I think the converging lines to the left make this photo much more powerful than the previous one, the diagonal lines add a bit more than just the splendid tones the previous one was build on. Very good shot, and a beautifully aligned horizon...:)
