Thanks Roger for your comments. Normally I don't pay much attention to settings. If it is a scene I like, I do alot of bracketing. The Lcd screen
does a fairly good job of letting me know how my
lighting is. Going back and reviewing the settings: film speed 50, shutter 1/80 and apeture f8. Just regular focusing. The G6 is a simple but great camera for me. No more lugging around tons of equipment. It has been very freeing. The heaviest thing is still my tripod which I take everywhere. Eventually, I may upgrade to a dslr, but for now, I very content.
Thanks again Roger.

This is very beautiful Ingrid, I love the repetetive pattern of the sand and that wonderful golden glow leading us to the wonderful little shell. I hope your Mom is doing OK. Alison

In a way this is a sad picture with the end of the day and empty shell; but I like it. It is also unique (to my eyes) as the water effect on the sand something that we don't see in our area of the world. I like the composition and the simplicity.

I am hard pressed to provide meaningful feedback, but I do wonder what this would look like with a much slower shutter speed. Perhaps the 'silky water' effect might add more contrast and colour - but then again you would loose the detail in the water current.

Thanks for a great shot.
