About WE got to Moab Utah last night and sure enough by this afternoon it is snowing. We were hoping that we left that behind in Canada. Never the less I think that the inclement weather brought some interesting opportunities. The Snow is just starting to come down and the misty feel is creating some editing in the distance that I think can work well in some instances.

That's an interesting landscape Tim, quite different from your Canadian shots. I particularly like the markings in the tree trunk in this one, I think they could be a study in themselves, but it works very well in this image leading the eye up to the rock formation.

Yes, this is an unusual colour palette and terrain that is completely unfamiliar to me. Not sure what you mean about editing in the distance. Do you mean that it obscures things you would otherwise have wanted to remove?

A great perspective on this red landscape, Tim, and as you've said the grey snow skies lend a little different dimension than we usually see in these shots. I really like your point of view and composition in this one.
Dave.

Yes this is a nice photo. I love the desert. Keep dry that is the main thing. I don't know how much snow there would be in canyonlands but I'll bet if it clear a little the haze would be gone there.

Foreground, middle ground and background, all work well together to produce an excellent image. Well done.
