2. Cesare Borgia sent presents of lemons and oranges to his wife while she was in France, partly to impress Louis XII with his wealth.

3. Sailors used them (combined with rum) to combat scurvy.

Camera settings: 1/1.6 sec - f/45 - FL 105mm - ISO 200 - x-ray film viewer.

Hey Mohamed, I've just put the slice on an X-ray film viewer "fanous ashe3a" that's all as a source of an illuminated white background.
Regards,
Khaled.

Sweeeeeeeet shot (well actually I should say sour... but... LOL)!!! Fabulous light through that thin slice, super details, love it that you've left the pips in to give some extra color/depth!!! Gorgeous tones/color, excellent diagonal composition... well done!!!

Hi Ahmad,
The X-ray film viewer is just a "fanous ashi3a elly eldakatra beyhotooh 3andohom fe el3eyadat" ... I'm a doctor that's why I have it :0)
Sorry man, I didn't forget you but it's just being busy allthrough the week but sure I'll do what you asked me too :0(
About the camera, I'm a Nikon user since 1980 and that's why I'll go for the Nikon D50 or D70s.
My regards Ahmad,
Khaled.

Hi Kambiz,
Louis 14 is Louis-Dieudonné who was reigned as King of France and of Navarre in the period from May 14, 1643 until his death on September 1, 1715. He placed France in the predominant and preeminent position in Europe, giving her ten new provinces and an empire.
This is his photo, click on it to see larger view.
My regards, take care,
Khaled
