I guess a "." would be the shortest!
You're not being rude at all! We all have our own tastes for photography. Myself, being a professional in visual effects for feature films, I tend to lean very heavy on my creativity for taking pictures. Everything is a challenge to me...nothing is simple. An image like this took an hour to shoot. To me it was a challenge, and the camera was the tool my eye. It's not the most mainstream of images, but one I am proud of!
thanks again for the comments!
cheers, -Joel

What is the shortest comment permissable on Usefilm. "?" I don't mean to be rude. You must have some ulterior motive?

So funny that you think it's lensbaby-ish! I am holding a loupe lens against the 24-70 lens at 70, and bending the loupe lens to get the same effect. ...and two days after this pictures was taken, someone said, "have you seen the lensbaby?".
Thanks very much for the comments! :)

I like the lightning you have done here Joel, and the extremely short dof you used. She almost look real and your "reatment" made it even better!

Joel, look at Tracey McLeod she does work with dolls too. I didn't want to use the word "creepy" - but I like it in a positive sense.

Ina,
Thank you very much for your comments! She's a wonderful object to light. It was just amazing how creepy she started to look once I pulled away the fill and bounce lights! I took several shots, racking all the through the depth, and to see that curve of the mouth shine on this image sold me. I'm glad you love it!
best, -Joel

Great title Joel and stunning image. The creases around the mouth and the sideway gaze add a scary look, I love it, great work! Ina

Hi Joel, nice effect. You gave a doll a human emotion and captured it very well. Chris
