Hi Laura:

Thank you for your comments. You are right, the road is falling into the abyss. The road runs right along the river, and this section of the road has been closed off since it is eroding right into the river. The sign is left over from before they closed the road. I thought the irony was amusing.

Simple, yet interesting image. The colors and details are good. Looks to me like a portion of the road has fallen into the abyss!
