Yes! It's the lens! - lol, but yeah, probably. It sure is small! I'm looking for a new camera...

kes the cloud depth is excellent gives the shot some impact against the landscape.the field has that desaturated infrared feel .all in all a geat shot.however is does lack some foreground sharpness is this a weakness of the fixed lense?.

Hey, the info isn't too much...good to know! Unfortunate for you. Really didn't know that could happen, so is this the reason for needing a new camera?? Anyhow...of course I'd recommend the d70 :)

Thanks Janet! The hardest thing is to pick what will fit in camera format. This salvage shot has about half of the original right side cropped off (blown-out sun). It was my second attempt to capture the sun...last February...
The previous similar shot apparently left a mark on my camera's CCD, and it was in the sky in this shot - and all subsequent shots! Got most of it "repaired" with Gimp.
Bet that's more info than ya needed, lol!

Hi Anthony - Thank you! Yes, God is the ultimate artist...a camera often doesn't do justice to the scene. I almost named this "Shekinah" or "Glory-Cloud", but decided this photo would be an injustice to those names. But I'll keep looking! It's nice to see and appreciate the beauty even if we can't always capture it in a photo.

Must be 'God's Country'. You have the best scenes in Colorado...so gorgeous, Kes, and great on the b&w!
