About This leaf was bending under the weight of the fine drops deposited by a fine overnight drizzle.

Used the 105mm Nikkor micro with the 2.75X Panagor macro converter and fill-in flash. Minimal adjustments and little cropping in PS.

Joggie, I find your photos thrilling. There are obvious and beautiful details in this image. When I get over the beautiful soft tones, spectral highlights and sharp details then I pause to think... What makes the compostion for me is the leaf, at a diagonal, and the tension introduced by the imbalance of one drop versus many. The hard focus on the one drop vs, softer focus on the others serves to accentuate the effect. The slight elongation of the bottom drop creates futher dynamic tension in anticipation of its falling. Congratulations - this one is even better then the prize winner. I'd sign you up as a friend or associate in a flash, except I have not yet figured out how to do this in the new usefilm format. Thanks for your comment on my photo - I am only just beginning to relearn photography but there is lots of time.

Hi Dear Joggie!
This is absolutely amazing, you are not a macro, you are a nano specialist, you see everything !!!
Unbelievable clear details in this micro world.
I like it so much!
Best regards.

I envy you this photo! I also have a Nikon D70s, but no extra lenses for the time being! It simply took away my breath!

Thanks Randy - what a compliment! What intrigues me of this wonderful subject is all the basic natural laws and phenomena on can see in this one picture including: gravity, cohesion, adhesion, reflection, refraction, bending of light etc. Kind regards.
