So glad I discovered this image - perfectly exposed - lovely varied textures - the narrow band of mist is a magnificant extra touch - definitely deserves the award - Regards Lydia

Hi James, the fog in the distance definitely makes this one tick. Empty, barren, yet beautiful and very appealing. RE the 2x3 or 4x5 aspect ratio in your images, I figured as much, and I see your point. It would've surprised me if it would've been an "oversight" from a photographer with your skills... As to thinking out of the box, I find it a very useful technique to experiment and as a tool to retain a bit of creativity in my more regular and commercial work, but I would stay away from it where the commercial work itself is conserned. Thinking out of the box is easily overdone, and even overrated at times.
Cheers,
Hugo

Beautiful view of the mountains, James, and of course the snow cover makes it just that much different! The layer of mist really adds the finishing touch! Dave.

A fabulous shot. Superb balance, and the mist at the base of the mountains just lends the image that little bit of je ne sais quoi that really makes this shot work. Excellent!

I don't think I've ever seen a bad photo of these Grand Teton Mountain Ranges but there is something about a snow covered scene which makes it more majestic and fresh. This is breathtaking. All the snow is beautifully exposed and I love the layer of mist at the foothills. A Lovely scene and beautiful photo.
Cheers - Ann :)
