Don, I didn't take it as criticism... ;-D! Just thought I'd explain a couple of things... I sometimes have the same problem, but thought it was a 'camera problem' as I use a small one with a fixed lens. I do find pictures from some others to be very clear/crisp/detailed and assumed that that was due to a better quality lens/camera. I'm not totally convinced that's all of it though as they sometimes seem to face the same problem.... I think it also has something to do with the light/lighting circumstances... I'll let you know when I've figured it out... LOL!! In the meantime I'm game for that info... ;-D!!! Bye, Petal.

No Petal, I wasn't critical of your picture but I have found that I need to use a little sharpening on all my digital images. They appear as if I had used a soft focus filter if I don't. I have a sharpening program that works very well and you can control the output of the result. Email me if you would like information. Do you use Photoshop? Don.

Hi there Don! No I don't... I've been tempted a few times when I thought a pic was a bit soft (kind way of saying out of focus or the focus was there but in the wrong place... LOL), but I always find/found the result disappointing or even totally dreadful.... You can't get focus into an OOF shot and that way it just gets 'pixelated' like you wouldn't believe or hallows appear or it just looks artificial.... BTW I also don't like sharp objects and food... LOL!!!
I don't know why you've asked me this here and now, but the 'pixelation' on the petals in this shot is a natural one: those leaves 'shine' as if there are tiny specks of glass/silvery white on them... Hope that answers your question, don't hesitate to ask more... Have a great day, Petal.
