Personally, I think this is a really fine low-key photo that would have its place on the right wall. I think if I had framed it (we all know I can't frame) as a raw, untouched image, it wouldn't look good. But with the wide white frame you used and the muting or softening of the image that you did, it really comes out nice.

Very nice abstract/photo-art Lori. I like the stark, cold appearance and the blue undertones in yhe snow. I think it could be improved if you went in a bit closer and made the row of hedge poles a stronger element. Great image anyhow. Regards.

Just can't make up my mind which one I want to splurge on. I expect to have one in a matter of months, and believe me, I can HARDLY WAIT! :)
Can't believe how much I miss the Hasselblad...just didn't like the 'film'! Digital has me spoiled

The G2 is a good camera, but it doesn't do you justice Lori. Why don't you get one of the professional model digital SLRs? You asked me what I really think, so I told you.
And please say hello to La Jolla for me. I miss surfing there...

Very "cool' image Lori! I like the diagonal lines giving a strong composition and feeling of depth. The colours are great - I like the high key approach and the bluish tint doesnt bother. The grain together with the tones provide for an antique apearance. Well done!

Hi Hilton,
Easy to do the outer blue part. First I did my image with white border and drop shadow.
Then I went to 'File' drop down to 'new'. I then created a new image larger than the one I had been working on. Filled the blank white space with blue. Then while holding down the 'shift' key I drug the first picture/abstract onto the new blue image. You have now created a centered picture with even border.
Probably other ways to do this, but this is how I learned. I use Photoshop CS. I'm sure all versionjs will do the same thing.

I sense it needs something...I'm also thinking that maybe I should have desaturated it. And now that I see it on line I wish at least I hadn't done the blue border. (Live and learn huh? LOL)
