No, those aren't the Glasshouse Mountains. The house faces west (absolutely searing sunsets) and what you see silhouetted are - I believe - the Flinders Ranges. I know exactly how you feel about home. You can take the girl out of OZ, but...

Welcome back Rina but I see by the looks of the date you made it back before I did. Anyway glad to see you posting again. This is gorgeous. All these lovely colours are stunning. Is that a section of the Glasshouse Mountains sihouetted there? Been a long time since I was back home so I'm getting homesick.
I read your post to Ray about your history. Mate you are even more of a mutt than I am :) I was born to Greek parents in Australia and raised in OZ and after 2 short marriages over the years I am now married to an american man and living over here in the states. I call it the state of my confusion. (haha) :)
I look forward to more of your posts so don't disappear.

Haha! Wondered how many people actually look at bio pics or read the info... hence the bimbo-ish bio text!!! :))
Thanks for the comments Janet. Truth is, I can't really tell how any of these photos have turned out because I'm looking at them from a very baaaad monitor. Can't see colours very well. I'm relying on critiques and can't wait to get home to see what I've done!

Thanks for coming back for another look Ray. Are any of us really normal though...? ;) Check this out:
~ Both sets of grandparents migrated from Italy to Cairo Egypt (mainly european settlement in the 30s 40s and 50s)
~ Both parents born in Egypt, married and moved back to Italy for a short time before migrating permanently to Australia
~ I was born and raised in Australia, and after two pathetic attempts at marriage, found the love of my life (in a user group of all places!) and moved across the Tasman to NZ to be with him.
Phew! So there you have it :)) Who the heck needs normality, eh?

This is a beautiful sunset with lovely details in the sky and gorgeous yellows,golds and ambers from the sun as it sinks into a perfectly straight horizon. Traces of mountains in silhouette add to a wonderful composition.Well done to you my sweet. You must tell me sometime if you are an Aussie who escaped to NZ or if your parents defected from NZ to Aus.

lovely sunset Rina - you guys are much further into 2006 already than we are. i like the great sunset colours with the very dark clouds- enhances the drama of this natural wonder we all take so much for granted.

HAPPY NEW YEAR sweet Rina.. I too planned to post today but I have a major problem with the computer. Cannot get into my files, the internet is fine along with a few other basic functions; it looks like a re-build if I can work out how to get the non backed-up material out first....Such is life.
