About We are inundated with Box Elder bugs in our area when autumn nears…and unfortunately many enter the house….along with ladybugs :(. About a month or so ago she found one of these creatures and named it ‘Boxy’ and was distraught when it was lost. Well, yesterday she found Boxy...at least she believes it’s the same bug :) and was so happy!

Beautifully composed and an amazing crop my sweet Janet. Excellent error in leaving the iso at 1600 it really produced a great result. The storyline is wonderful and the mono tones are fantastic as usual.

Repairs are due to start on Friday to this stupid computer so I hope to 'see' you again soon sweetie. Best wishes and big hugs....Ray

Oh, I love this!!! fav! A similar thing happened to my little one today too. A ladybird crawled along his arm just like this when we were out. I didn't have a camera, and it likely wouldn't have been as beautiful as this, so that's okay. I love the name boxy. We're going away on holiday tomorrow... look forward to seeing your work when I return

Janet,
Its amazing what they will call "friends" or make pets! Mine had a pet fly and ant this past summer. The fly was katy and the ant was...well....Anty! Forntuately she wasn't too attached.:) Lovely shot....great area of focus and I like the bit of grain in the shot..wether is was intentional or not! As alwasy wonderfully smooth tones!
Regards,
Damion

If she's happy, I'm happy & Boxy seems to be a very replaceable pet...
Thank you, dear Janet, for your compliment about my "In memory of."
It's really not too difficult if you have P.S.
I don't know why I took the shot of the walking people, but when I posted "Walking shadow" the idea struck me that I could combine both photos. It was a great deal of trial & error, finally I put the shadows as backround, put the walking people on top, skewed them to fit the angle, made them semi transparent, of course, and then it was just a question of chosing filters. In case you have not seen "Walking shadows" (I don't want to go back & look because I might lose the trail of thought) I attach it here.
Happy 2006 once more to all the Js.

Great composition Janet & the expression of the kid looking down on the bug. I find the image bright & could be darkened a bit with proper contrast (Just An Opinion). The crop worked well here, well taken otherwise, regards.

Thank you, Green, yes the high iso caused the grain...I didn't intend it and just forgot I had the camera set so high, but I do like the grainy effect to :) Happy New Year, my friend!

Wonderful moment.

Great b&w tones.

I liked the grainy effect (I believe that was as a result of the high ISO?)

Regards my friend.
