I looked at a recent photo, then went to your portfolio. I've been sitting here a very long time now, amazed by the images I've seen here. You're very talented, I must say. This is an absolutely wonderful people portrait. You portray his soul so very well. Very deserving of an editors choice award. The composition, lighting, and muted colors work excellently. WONDERFUL!!! I am so glad I had the opportunity to view this image - it is going to my favorites folder.

The subdued colors and the capture of the hand on the left hand side is wonderful. The background gives this such a nice 'sense of place' and the mood is heavy with unspoken, poignant emotion. Fantastic capture...WOW! :)

Bart, I agree, I found kids there to be polite, though sometimes pretty shy, especially in more rural areas. This picture is from a small town in Bumthang province. I sure hope to go back someday!

Very nice. The older school children we met at the festivals in Bhutan were so polite and sweet and eager to speak English with us. An amazing place!
