Hi Paul,
Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you...I know what you mean about the camera. There is SO much to it. I've just discovered a few new functions in the last few days! I'm trying to take it one step at a time though, letting things sink in and then tackling something new.
I used to always manual focus, but now I use auto whenever possible. I switch to manual while taking florals, etc. and need to key in on a particular area. It seems that auto does a pretty good job on people.
Anyway, keep going back to the manual. There is a ton of info in there. Someday I'll actually make it all the way through!

WOW! What a beautiful portrait Susie! I just love how you used the light! And the detail and perfect focus! Wow if we are using the same camera......You have a better understanding of it than I do Susie...I need to better learn my manual focusing and how to use the seven points.
I'd rather manual focus most of the time but not sure if my eyes are really worthy of it these days!
Anyways......Lovely shot Susie!
