About This is photo art. I realize that some might be put off by the color of the sky, but I took "artistic license" because I felt the color worked well with the rest of the composition. Thoughts and ideas welcome. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful work, David. So many shooters forget that photography really is "painting with light", not just clicking a button. If you can turn a nice but forgettable capture into a memorable work of art, then go for it! Ansel's hours in the darkroom were not for nothing. This is a beautiful image, and I think that your ps work is very deft. Good work.

The sky color is great! What needs a bit improvement is the forground. It might be a bit difficult, but if the fence could go...-)

How hard it is for the purists, competing with gems like this. Well done David.

Hi John and thanks for your comment. I understand and appreciate what you're trying to say, but respectfully disagree. I already know there are some people who are purists and don't/wouldn't like the color of the sky. Telling me that wouldn't benefit me anyway. It's not that I want to avoid critism or direct the direction of the critique. If someone wants to include that in their critique, that's fine, but it would just be a waste of time as I see it. Take care, David.

Gorgous! I believe what you did with the sky really ads to this composition and allows to barn to pop and does not present us with yet another "Barn Shot"; well done.

On a side note about your comment "I realize that some might be put off by the color of the sky", you should not dimish your work with a comment like this, it tends to point viewers in a certain direction and dissalows frank comments. It reminds me of my wifes mother who will cook dinner, then state before serving that she thinks she did not do a good job; kind of starts the meal off wrong.

Regards,
John
