Hi Kev. Merry Christmas.
The seat as you called it, is actually a neglected nesting box. A dry summer two years ago resulted in this avian aparatus being turned into a bovine back-scratcher. I don't think it was ever used by the birds, but the cows sure like it.

I dunno, even if the bank doesn't fit I think the blue chair (or whatever that is) is too cool a thing to crop out, the way it meshes oddly with the red.

Thanks AJ and Mary Sue.
Ya, I don't much like the grass here either, but what can you do. The setting sun was shining on the barn at the top of a hill. I'm standing on a roadway looking down on this small pond trying to get the best vantage point before I lose the light altogether or my fingers freze off. It was the colour I was after and I appreciate you both mentioning it. The only effect at work here was the ripples on the water caused by a bitterly cold wind which you can't see but which I can sure remember.

I like this very much, especially the rich colors of the reflected barn and sky. I agree that the bank seems somewhat inconsistent with the rest of the image, but it doesn't bother me too much. Did you use some of the same techniques on this one that you did on the Birches image recently posted?

I really like the color but find the grassy bank distracting. Concept is great. AJ
