About	A pattern in nature created by a bear marking his territory. Presumably the bigger the bear, the higher he reaches on the tree trunk, the more dominant he is in his domain. These marks were about 2.5 m. up.

The shot is a great abstract compositionally as well as color wise before knowing the subject. To find out what created those stripes just adds to this amazing shot. Into my favorites it goes!

Bob, it is cool when I don't stop to think about it. This spot is only a km. from home and a lot of trees were marked. I can't feel so carefree walking in the woods.
