About This is the underside of a starfish.
I liked the patterns of its legs and the way the legs stretch out, as if always reaching for more!
The background is actually a sunset photo I took some time ago. I hand held the starfish about 12 inches away from the photo and used a large lens opening for a shallow dof.
The lighting was a halogen desk lamp.
My best to all..............John

Wonderful Photograph John, Great colors and clarity and Composition.

Thanks for sharing… Thanks for the wonderful comment on my Photograph. John, you should know, a church building does not make God's Church, a house does not make a home and a computer/program does not make this a Photographer's WEB site. They all have to do with loving and caring people. I just backed off a little and let the dust settle. There some really nice features showing up here. I will be back to posting regular when I get back home from the holidays "Next Year".

Happy New Year and GOD Bless…
Your friend, Peter

What a great entry into the new project John. Very pretty with great focus and detail. I just went back and read your bio again and totally agree. My sister and I were talking one day that photography is a way of dealing with all the ugliness in this world... when looking through a lens we find out that there is beauty everywhere!
Have a great weekend! :)

Brilliant work, once again, John!
The composition is very strong and the background colours provide a good contrast with the pale colour of the starfish.
Best regards, Chris

Great image, and I'm amused by your re-use of an image and lighting notes, as I've just done something very similar!
