The name of ISTANBUl is deriving from STAN POLI means (in Greek) that toward to city.Because in that time was the UNIQUE and BIGGEST and only town in the area. The old BITCH ( one of the nick name of Istanbul ) is the only town becoming capital for three empire. Roman,Byzantine and Ottoman. Around 300 A.C was sharing the power of Romans together with ROME.and for couple of centuries was the capital of ROMANS and the most important for them..Found by CONSTANTINE the roman emperor. The story goes back to 6000 years B.C. What I captured this because on left side you see PURE Saint SOPHIA ( constructed in 530s A.C.) and still standing added the minarets during otttoman era. on right side you see Blue Mosque (around 1570s)and in front the new Town covering old..
