Querido Serge.
Saludos
Dear Serge. I to answer your question will tell you that depends on the picture. Sometimes I like to enhance the color or even change it if I so like most. In others, the captured image as it already has, in itself, enough strength and expressiveness and retouching is minimal. If you look at my portfolio on IO, you'll checking there have enhanced photos in much the contrast, color, light, shadows, etc because I liked so and others that have enhanced less. In the end, it all depends on personal taste.
As to whether I consider myself more technical than artist or vice versa, I will tell you I was not interested in a debate of this kind. I'm probably a little apprentice everything. And specifying this photo, I do not think an artistic trait paint the sky yellow.
Dear Alfons, 1. Finally all is up to your, because you're the author. 2. In principle, the question is as follows: (i) we'd like to maky a mirror copy of reality or (ii) we'd like to create an expressive image. Or - in another words - or you're considering yourself as an techniсian who are working at Xerox device; or an artist who tries to express his vision. 3. Yes, at noon light of Sun is perceived by eyes as white. But at your's color shot this light just have not any color. 4. I've changed not white piece of photo, but the cloud at the left and color of water. Regards, Serge
Actually, Serge, not there is much color, but already know that a day cloudy turns off those colors. This photo is taken to the noon and at that time the light of the Sun is white.
