About The S.S. Lane Victory takes part in the Tall Ships Festival in San Pedro California. Built in 1945, the S.S. Lane Victory served with distinction during WWII, the Korean and Vietnam war as well as in peace time as part of the merchant fleet. As a National Historic Landmark, she now serves as a living museum and memorial to the service and sacrifices of all Merchant Marine sailors and Navy Armed Guardsmen. Each summer she steams back to 1942 on one of her “Victory at Sea” cruises.
