About When zebras are grouped together, their stripes make it hard for a predator to pick out one zebra to chase. Different zebra species have different types of stripes, from narrow to wide. In fact, the further south on the African plains you travel, the farther apart the stripes on the zebras get. This group of Zebras were in a downpour of rain.

Thank you, Ray. The photo was taken in 2010 and I remember the day well. The rain was hit and miss that day. I could be raining heavy on one end of the crater but not the other. I don't remember what the diameter of the Ngorogoro crater but it is not that large.
Thanks again my friend!

I think it's a bit overexposed , probably due to overlay in the postproduction, sorry :)

An excellent capture Rob in wonderful tones and your 'about' is great. I never knew that there were differences in the zebra species so your information is most welcome. I particularly love the placement of the zebra furthest from you and the effect of the rain falling creating a sort of misty view of it. Well done my friend, love it. Best wishes.
