About I couldnt find the right title for this, as it is intimate, delicate, maybe even a bit dramatic.....so, if you know something better, just tell me.... This is in South Amerca, the Indians still living their own way of life, which is great I think, not being influenced by us, as far as it goes......and that's far!

Hope you can appreciate this, please give your comments! Jen

A great lighting and such a tight composition here, Jen! Nothing too much, nothing too little. A bit of missing contrast makes it looking softer focused than it actually is, and steals away some nice details that would be pretty much better visible otherwise.

As about that kind of life... Well, we do use high technology cameras and computers every day, in order to document that the simpler way of life is better, ey? So we contradict what we like most? But then again, contradiction is a nice thing! It boils up all grey cells beyond steam tempersture, and at the end this might be the best of all ways to live.

Cheers!

Nick

Dearest Linda, It really felt like another world, dropped in the middle of nowhere in the jungle, no electricity, no fresh water etc. but thats how they live and whats wrong with that, except for meeting up at night with Tarantula's and piranha's..loll Swimming between them was quite scary, just found out later:)) I can only feel respect for this way of life, they have no choice anyway, we do! So, this photo should be dedicated to the Indians of Suriname! Suppose you're right, she might be much younger....hugs Jenxx

Wow this is photography and what it should do, allow us in to other worlds, cultures, lifestyles, traditions, and that's what this one does for me. So many thoughts come to mind dear Jen, first of all..it makes me appreciate the life that I have, and it makes me feel compassion for this hard life that some people are living. I think the image is fine as it is because it depicts their surroundings, simple but cluttered. I bet this lady looks older than her years because of the life she's lived...a very good image my dear....big hugs

Dearest Srna,
Dont feel sorry at all my sweet friend, I was just so very concerned about you, I think you are very very brave just to stay here and face the facts that some people dont have norms, respect, but just forget about them, there's always the good ones loving you..;))) These things show you (and me) who are worth coming back for..you're strong and responsable, just be own, good self!!!:))) Love and lots of hugs, Jenxx
