I love the overwhelming blue color in this picture. It outlines the main subject very well, highlighting it apart from the sharp focus to the main subject (though as Nick pointed out probably done with Photoshop). The POV is also very well thought.

The overal integrity of the image in blue, the excellent focus and the very very exact timing (that's hard! ;-)) are the things that strike my eyes right away. It is the kind of photo that looks pretty natural, much like a snapshot, at first.
But did you "helped" selective focus using PS afterwards? The left edge of his blue dress looks quite fuzzy, much like the result of some not very exact selection in some photo software. And here is also where the problem begings. The focal separation of the boy towards the background looks unnatural after a while. It looks very technical - not quite matching the overall look.
