Q. wedding pictures

I noticed that the photos in my wedding album of 35 years age have turned a reddish color. They are all 8x10s taken by a professional photographer. What is this due to? I was thinking of trying to fix them using Photoshop Elements. Any suggestions?

Were they color images or black and white to begin with?

If they were black and white, it means they were not completely washed, although they would usually turn yellow instead of red.

If they were color images, that is just how they age. Most color photographs wont last. Your best action would be to scan all of the images in and color correct them and reprint them with a high quality printer and archival inks.
