Q. MPP dark slides / screen register

What is the screen register and how is it measured? I just bought a 5x4 Micro Technical Camera by MPP. The model is MkV11 body style B according to this site

The camera came with double dark slides made by Graflex , Rochester, NY - are they international standard? I'm not sure if these are the original dark slides used with this camera. I'm new to LF and there is a lot I need to learn - appreciate all help.
