We've researched a lot of these. A whole lot. For now, we've settled on Collages.net. They're not the cheapest, but the interface is fantastic. Not only to upload (which doesn't matter to me as much) but the storefront to the customer. The broadband site is very nice and the dialup site is good too, just not as nice as the broadband.

www.dotphoto.com is another and webshots.com - try those out. I know dotphoto takes a percentage and pays out monthly if I remember correctly. The other option is to have a paypal account and put a cart there - then send them a bill via paypal... Good luck!

Hi Loren I run www.buyaphoto.net We can handle all sale, money collection and processing, we also have the option of you collecting the money and we bill you. Buyaphoto ships worldwide from the U.S and Australia and at the moment we are looking to take on new labs which will help in local deliveries. We dont charge any fees except for the print fees when an order is placed, so your not handing out money before you even start selling. Anyway please feel free to have a read through our information for photographers section and if you have any questions, please dont hesitate to contact me using the contact forms on the website. Regards Dean outlaw

Yep everything you just asked for is possible. You set your prices on top of what we charge to print. eg. we charge $6.95 for a 6x8 inch print, say you want to make $5.00 for the 6x8 then the price to the customer is displayed at $11.95. Same goes for file downloads. You can set it up so that all images are charged at the same pricing format or you can charge a different price for each individual image that you have.

I just want to warn all my fellow photographers to avoid working with Pictage. I was with them for a year and they made numerous accounting mistakes (all in their favor), the print quality was not consistent, and their customer service is horrible. They were nothing but a big headache and I hope this keeps someone from going through what I did!

You can also use Photobox (www.photobox.com) and set up a pro gallery they take a commission on sales rather than an upfront fee
I use clikpic.com though and process through photobox - clikpic is easy to use and easy to set up

Hi there,
I use a site called ifp3.com. I have found them to be really quite good. A choice of templates for your site, really good mangement of your images & galleries etc..and automatically watermarks your images if you wish. it is a fee based site, and you can set up client accounts, and sell through it. My page if you would like to have a nose is www.mjpphotography.ifp3.com
happy hunting :)

As i see the main problem of any hosting, including Flickr, that there are a lot of useless functions. Besides they want us to pay money for all that stuff … I found for me jpeg compressor. With that soft i compress pictures without quality loss and easy upload them to their freephoto hosting So you’ve got easy to use hosting (sharing) for free and without any problems
