Q. Difference between Photofloods and Floodlights?

Hi, I am doing a little bit of basic study on lighting and though they're both mentioned in the text, I can't seem to find a difference between what a photoflood and a floodlight is, despite looking at online descriptions and photos in Google. What is the difference? And can photofloods be also used as spotlights?
