I think the cracks are a little too obviously placed with them all beng same angle and size... I love the shot but you need a little more uneven cracking. Even if using the one grunge brush just try changing opacity or sizes of it to help it appear different..thats about all I caN critique..this is splendid and much deserving of the award..

I guess you need no tips at all! Look at that - 2 BIP's here to boot! Great job on the photo, the feeling of emptiness is huge here. If you want a great program, check out Optik Lab's "Virtual Photographer" which is a filter program add-on to PS and other programs. It's VERY fun to play with. :) I think you did just great with this shot though... :)

I like it a lot, maybe just a little more contrast.
Curves layer blended in soft focus and change opacity.
But for me it's really really good in this way.

Thank lori for your comment. I was not sure about the lighting spot at the foreground, I wanted to show more emptiness to support the feeling of fear and sadness. I will take your point to improve my photo

It is wonderful like thie Amna, I like it the way it is, I like the grainy effect as well and the space given to the floor,
The only thing I am not sure about is the cracks at the wall, they all look identical and unreal,
Beside that, very well done,

Hi Amna,
A BOLD and telling photograph, very alone this little girl is. I like the tones and the grain, goes perfectly with this image.
For me, I think the large 'hot' spot in the foreground is a bit too bright.
And the 'cracks' added in the walls should be thinner, and should each be different. With these, I notice that they are each the very same shape....
Other than these two things, I love the idea here. REally tells a story as to how she feels.

Good attention to some composition rules, including converging line to the main subject, I like the exposure and nice tonal quality, pointing the camera up slightly would have avoided the hard cast light, great idea with very well done work. Saeed
