I've not been there for more than 30 years so this composite is a welcome addition. As you say, though, it's difficult for any photograph to come close to the grandeur of the original. But that mustn't stop you trying and coming up with great pictures like this!

WOW!!!! Awesome view and excellent stitching... If any picture can't do it justice, it has to be wonderful to be there... I've never been there, but it is in my wishlist... :)

Hi Lori, I almost hesitate to post a comment because of the slowness of this site's posting process. But, I must comment on this wonderful scenic view and the great job you did of merging four shot together to produce it. This looks like the south rim? If you haven't been and get a chance, go to the north rim.

Great composite Lori...the only problem I see is the sky....you could darken in PS, but I think it's not totally necessary as the foreground is so strong.

Excellent montage. Beautiful grand canyon. Amazing place.
I was there at the south rim. Unfortuanately the light was bit dull so couldn't really get the vibrant colors. But still an impressive and majestic place.

I think I have taken a few photos from that exact spot.. the Grand canyon is one of those places where photographs just don't do it justice.. but you really captured the depth and colors of this great landscape.. good work

I can see hw difficult it is to do the GC justice in a phooto... I've never been but it is definitely on my list of to-do's. Well composed and extremely well stitched. I particularly like the canyon bottom on the right of the image - it gives a real feeling of height and depth to the image... Excellent image!
