I'll send you some info on how I filter images if you promise not to laugh. My methods are very crude and primitive. To some degree I've been trying to take elements from images of yours, like this one, and apply them to mine. But I get very poor results with a macro, so I've been trying to make the ideas work with larger, yet still intimate, "everyday" objects.

Dear Emgy,
I am just back from a long vacation. Thanks very much for your wish and messages. I wish you and your family a new year full of health, wealth, and happiness.
I was in Las Vegas during my vacation and unfortunately broke my G3 on the very first day. So no Las Vegas shots were taken :( It was a windy night when the wind blew off the tripod of which my G3 as attached to it. The lens was broken. I sent it to Canon and have them take a look to see if it can be fixed. I will be without my G3 for quite sometime.
Excellent macro and abstract indeed. To me, it is microbiology :)
