About This one preserved the light under coarser grain for which I am very glad. Any comments would be very welcome.

Oh, now I got you right, Harry! A pity that Pear Computers® was not what you meant! ;-)

Again the demon of my keyboard striked! You see, the key for "g" is near the key for "b". It should be "aged" look, but "a bed" look is also nice because I still dream in coarse grain look and muddy colors of film images of the past! ;-)

Seriously now, I like very much this kind of raw look. It is straight and very sincere for my eyes. Much like playing electric guitar with no "digital beautification" which at the end would be only a compromise. All the dolby-like mechanisms that limit "unwished things" limit also the punch.

Transmitted to this (or any similar) image the more solid colors would rather compress the dirty look of the city, and I like that look too much. BTW I am not artist, definitely not! I just try to take some good images, whatever the word "good" might mean.

Cheers!

Nick

hahahahahahahahah Pear !! Company name is Pear hahahahahahah . With bite I need more expressive, more solid colors. But then if this is what you intended, I cannot say anything because it is the intention of the artist.
But now what is an abed look ?
- a bed look ?
- a bad look ?
- abe d look ?

Thanks a lot for the nice and detailed comment, Gustavo! The overall light was such a good luck, and especially because of the absence of fog over there at the mountains.

Cheers!

Thanks a lot Vandi! The red walls were an important point to me too, when I was shooting.

As already said, this is not noise. It is grain. This is something completely different both in effects as also in overall look. One can't say in general if it is welcome or not, of course. It depends on the situation and the atmosphere one wants to generate.

But it is really astonishing to see that people who use tones of filtering and effects with imaging software in order to do what was "impossible" only with the camera/lens, will at the same time declare the wish for grain on some image as "not welcome". So, it means, if you are able to do something alone with camera and lens for controlling the appearance of the image, then it is suddenly not welcome, because it doesn't come from the toolbox of PS? ;-)

Cheers!

Oh, I don't mind the grain at all, Wolf! I like it! And that's why I am very glad for your comment, especially in combination with the remark of the colors of the 1970s. I wanted an "abed" look and that means it worked.

But what is the "bite" that it needs? I don't quite understand that... :-/

Cheers!

Nick

P.S.: Oh, a bite! Ok, here you are! (Any similarities to that *great* computer company are of course... intended!)

A "bite" ;-)

El encuadre aquí es realmente muy bueno, con un muy logrado balance en cityscape y paisaje natural, la iglesia de alguna manera, los conecta de manera magistral.
Felicitaciones!

Very good composition, Nick. I like those red walls which make the picture more attractive.
Noise is never welcomed, in my opinion.
