This is a back of a store on a beach on Galveston Island, TX. I never saw any beaches so empty like this before. This particular day was very quiet. It made me feel so lonely. I saw this empty bench and thought to capture that lonely moment. Though the word "loneliness" seems so abstract to me, every time I look at this picture...I still feel it.... I think I got it! Thanks for stopping by, guys. Ann
Ann ... I totally believe B&W would have enhanced this image even more for the feeling you felt and still do, but I would have also cropped out the sign (and other pier) on the left hand border ... Yes/No? Anyway, don't feel lonely much longer because if other people share your loneliness with you then you are NOT lonely any longer at least Photographically ... Right?
