Great photo, some times simple close ups on old ruinded objects can give amazing abstracts and with some lighting help from the sun for excample the result could be great...like here dear Maryanne, excellent photo dear! Best regards!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Mike. It was kind of funny, because the proprietor looked at me like I was from another planet -- "what are you taking pictures of?" he asked more than once. He's probably still talking about these nutty people who were taking pictures of his railroad ties. All he knew was that it made him uncomfortable.

I really like this one Maryanne. The contrast of the two pieces of wood as a background texture and the curve of the spike(or nail?)floating above is well seen. The best to you.
