~~GRIN~~ Liz... Nothing like a gum tree to get my heart soaring... The smell is brilliant... We have one at the corner of the drive that the parrots love... Used to be the rosellas nesting in the hole now the galahs have taken over... If we had some rain would try and take a few frames because the trunk is simply glorious... Occasionally the odd koala ends up in it for a while...:)
Thanks kindly...:)

Hi Joe... :) The Gum trees have many different bark types from heavy thick wrinled black (ironbark) to the papery barks... clean skinned trunks... A large variety plus beautiful flowers that the birds love...:)
Thanks kindly for time and comment...:)

Thanks kindly Gennaro... :)
This one is quite a large tree, and the bark is truly beautiful... So is the *skin* underneath... when wet it turns into patterns of pinks, greens and earth tones...:)

~~GRIN~~ Robin... These gums are really feeling the drought, but will survive as get watered occasionally... The cockatoos absolutely chew the new tips off and then ringbark the branches... The bark just drys and lifts floating all over in the hot winds... Some find it messy but I like it...:)
Thanks kindly as always... and Huge HUGS every day...:)

Very nice abstract Leonie. I like the brown, tan and light green colours. The pattern is very interesting. Well done. All the best.

No apologies Onie...the gums and your ability to enhance their beauty always produce a pleasant and interesting image! Bark all you want! :)
Hugs...Robin
ps...isn't it very late, or very early, depending on how you look at it...you must be a night owl.
