Ron, you are right to think that the frame finishes the shot's presentation. It certainly does in your great photo. Your frame is also minimal and does not surrender too many pixels.

Thanks for the visit Eb. That's the 1st time I heard it phrased like that, "giving up pixel space for a frame",. I never thought of it like that. I only put frames on my posted shots never prints and I only did it because I thought that it "finishes" the shot. I will re-think that in the future.

What can I say Ron, this is about as good as it gets. Contrast and lighting are out of this world. This shot almost has a surreal look to it especially knowing there is very little post work done to it. Sharpness is excellent. Easy to see why it is and should be POD. Congrats and regards.

Well deserved award, Ron! There is beautiful soft light (skylighting, I assume.) The pose has dynamism and contact with the subject. I like the complimentary framing - though I can't bring myself to give up pixel space to a frame.

Thanks Martin for your repeated visits. The background just disappeared with a levels adjustment. If your monitor is calibrated properly you can still make some of it out as Joel commented on. I thought about "blacking" it out completely but it wasn't necessary. Regards Ron.
