About This is more or less the same as the B&W version. The crops are a little different, and I positioned them slightly different also.

I think the B&W is of better quality, but the color jumps out of a thumbnail better...perhaps?

Kes, I like this portrait very much even though I am not much into portraits. Very interesting. I think I like the color version more since the splashes of color here and there add a good diversion. Thanks for your comment on my photo.

Very surreal emphasised by the harsh contrast. for me the colour photo works the best. Well done, Kes!

Hi Kes,
It's good to know that they can laugh and smile too :)

Now get them back to their chores and school work before they get too used to enjoying themselves ;)

Thanks for your insight, Karina. I really blew the lighting on this and should have used something to block/reduce the lighting on her dress and...very white legs. And you're correct on the white clothes. Next time!

Best regards,
Kes

Wow Kes, I just can't decide which is more appealing. There is something about this photo that really catches the eye. It has the decided look of a bygone era. When kids had to behave and they just did it! It's very creative and unique. Congrats!

I guess cause I click on this one first! (rather than the bw) This reminds me of the movie "THE OTHERS" It looks like they are sad, but are content being like that. That could be because they probably aren't really sad and are just trying to look that way! which is good! No one likes when kids are really really sad! This also reminds me of a reallly old photo where they had to stit there forever just to get one exposure. I have a feeling they were there for a while and that may contribute to the look!

Hi Kes, excellent composition and lighting. There is a sadness to this shot and although I normally prefer black and white this one works better for me. It is moody and this makes the observer question what is going on in their heads.
Nicole (PS. thanks for your comment)

Three great portraits, both smiling and stern. Next time perhaps don't use white clothes. The contrast (especially of the coloured version) is just a bit too high, so that the white jumper and the lower part of the girl have lost all detail. But that is a technical question. The pose, expressions and setting are good and your kids, well they are naturals.

Oh my friend this serie very impressive, full of emotive elements.
Absolutely nice photos, I know and You that b&w version is
full of dramatic feeling, but coloured one is full of life.
I admire your art my friend. Take it up!
Congratulations!!!
Excellent images!

Have a nice day dear Kes!
