Hey Pat;
I calibrated my home PC and I have the same problem, especially when I have an Adobe 1998 color space profile and the web shows sRGB. Everything appears to darken. Ah well...
Apple has excellent color management, and the Photoshop control panel is probably the best tool I've found.

Thank you all for your great comments. I am suprised by the award. I just bought a new Mac G5 with the HD Display and that screen is so bright that when I view my shot on another screen it looks too dark. Still havent figured out the best way to calibrate this new monitor. Thanks again and have a great day

The second this photo hit the wedsite it must have got the Staff's Choice Award. CONGRATULATIONS!
As usual your photos are amazing. I must say that I would consider tihs one "Blue Lagoon" as my absolute favorite.
Every color captured looks amazing. The colors in the sky are brillant. Love the rock formations and their rich colors. The ocean in the foregound looks great with the colors of the green and blue waters.
