In a minute got a little problematical to describe my consideration! I’ve observed it little bit and in conclusion I know what I have to say: it's not only a very good shot but an image with a great message! It is a very creative image, which you could not originally compose it better. To generations eyes to eyes with care and love, marvellous! 7+

Incredible strength...my daughter just finished 4 months of chemo and a month of radiation and it was really hard on her so I know that your mother-in-law must be very strong! This is what is known as capturing a moment, Mary. I heard a Nat'l Geographic photographer talking about that once and this is what he was describing. He said that this is the hardest type of shot to get. Well done.

Oh yes, Mary, it's a great portrait. The lovely rosy face of your mother-in-law (no-one would think she was fighting cancer), the clear whites of her blouse, and the harmonious colours of blanket, cushions and wall all work together so well. And baby, of course. Textures, colours, composition... all really lovely. Worth waiting for!

Hi Alison, since before the baby was born, I was determined to get a 4 generations picture. I have tried a few, but am not happy wih them. Christmas will be my next chance. I am hoping it will work well this time. It something I really, really want. (especially because the ages are 90, 60, 30, new)

It's a gorgeous portrait Mary. I would think your granddaughter will treasure this someday. The only thing I think would add to this photo is to crop it in closer, especially on the left side to draw more attention to them.
